Im so glad i found this forum ( i don't even remember how i found it ) anyway it helped me so much and people here are verrrryyy helpfull so thank you for that. Anyway i started my flash game website about 1 month ago .... www.FlashJunkies.com I didn't know anything about seo and all that stuff all i did it was from what ive learned here I was wondering if the experienced guys can take a look at it ... and tell me whats good whats bad .... check it on google ... and a few tips about improving it Its hard because im still working on the site ( adding a ranking system ) and promoting it too I submited it to about 100 directories so far , i did an article on digg , a friend of mine added meta tags and description Meta keywords: flash, games, free, flash games, free flash games, action, adventure, arcade Meta description: Flash Junkie - Play free flash games, online flash games, and other games sonic pacman donkeykong Im still looking to do some social bookmarking and creating some more links So far im getting about 250 unique visitors a day and about 1200 page views Anyway thank you for your time reviewing it and telling me some tips really apreciated
I took a look at your site. I am not a professional web designer so take my thoughts more from a consumers perspective. I had difficulty reading the text on the grey background. Not sure whether I would change the font or change the background. Under each of the categories I would see if I could reduce the number of games down but make the images bigger and clearer. dude for me there is more work to do change the logo, and place some funny cartoon or some gaming hero pictures fill the empty space with adds so it will look like a gamin site i hope it helps best of luck
it would be better if you give web 2.0 look and add some more funtionalities. Also friend, do keep building traffic

Hi, You have done a pretty good job here. I would suggest that you box out the bottom half of the site so that it is easier to read. This is the section where it says 'Action, Adventure, Arcade etc. All the text looks jumbled up otherwise. The main menu section doesn't seem to be aligned properly...I don't know if you noticed this? Maybe you can create a seperate menu bar altogether so that it is not tied in with the content. What did you use to create your website? You may consider using a template or a CMS such as wordpress to assist you in the design. Good luck!
thank you for all your imputs i really apreciate it it gives me way to improve the site .... im still waiting for someone to tell me more about what i can do with the seo stuff A lot of people are saying to make the thumbnails bigger but i was looking at the popular arcade games like newgrounds, armor games they don't have the thumbnails that big ... i saw a lot of arcade sites that have big thumbnails but i think that is to cheesy ... like on the main page it just shows a few games if you click on the category the thumbnails will apear bigger plus if i make the thumbnails bigger on the home page that means longer loading time which a lot of people don't like Thanks for all the imput and keep them coming
You definitely need to spice up your homepage a bit If i were you, i would pay someone to do a flash logo for you Currently, when im searching for: "Flash Junkies" in google, your website is not in the top 10 It should be first So, edit your signature, and put this in it: Flash Junkies and put a link to your site This will help increase your rankings in google when you make some posts here, BUT THIS DONT MEAN SPAM THE HELL OUTTA THE BOARDS, lol Also, get yourself on some paid directorys, and have a look at some free directorys on this site, get your website on them, even if you have to pay hundreds to get a number of high pagerank backlinks from directorys, this will boost your traffic immensely
The site is still in works because i have a few aces up my sleeve that will make it different then any other flash game website ....but kinda struggling with funding and all that its not that easy so its taking longer then i expected Anyway if you type flash junkies on google it should show up .... i tried it and it does but yeah im going to invest more in backlinks directories and social bookmarks
