Could any of you out there have a look at my site and give me some feedback. This is my first site for myself and is pretty much a "learning" site. The forum uses PHPBB, the news section of the site is a Movable Type blog. All the other pages are static except for the front page, which pulls the newest news items from the database tables used by Movable Type. Main problem with the site right now is inbound and outbound links, any advice in that direction would be very welcome. The site is Nintendo DS Gamer
Pretty good for your first site. Mine was a dog's breakfast. You sure could do with some links though hey. Just put the hard yards in, one at a time, exchanging with sites in your search results. There is a list here also under 'directories' of free directories you can submit to. You may want to join the digitalpoint coop, or linkvault (link bottom right of my post) -> Best wishes with the site. Keep adding content.
Thanks Dominic, not really my first site but the first site I've done for MYSELF. Links are something I'm reading up on at the moment, I realise that it will take a lot of hard work but I just don't have the spare time right now (work full time as a web developer plus I'm getting married in 2 weeks time!). Thanks for the advice, hopefully I'll be in a position soon to give out advice myself.
The site looks very nice and I think would make an excellent wedding gift. As far as the links, do what Dominic says and list your site in directories. Also, find any Nintendo DS site or game site and ask for links. Post your signature in other gaming forums. If you plan on writing a lot of articles you can create an RSS feed.
Agreed on above discussions.work according to Dominic says and list your site in directories and bookmarking sites but do follow sites always remember.....Vaptech designs
