Review my Website for SEO

I am running a blog from long time and tried every possible practice to increase link building and attract traffic. But, yet I am struggling with the traffic. Please review the SEO and suggest with your advice.

Do something with design. It is too regular.

 

Is caching turned on? The time to first byte is over 2 seconds, visitors will turn away and search engines will penalyze the site for that fact.

It means that you have a huge database, as i see ,with over 240.000 records. On every page load the system must collect its contents out of the database and this will cost resources and loading time. You should make use of wp-supercache. This can make static files until a post is changed, very useful!

If you don't really need the microsoft translation module, abandon it. It blows up the site unneccesarily.

The rest is as usual - wp standard - ok. (For SEO)

It's a blog? You need some static text on there, too, that's always visible to search engines.

 

Yes, more static text please. Put it on the top and footer.

 

Maybe try ranking for some more narrow niche first. "US News" is quite difficult IMHO.

You should use a template and not use the standard Wordpress theme.

Maybe a bit of on page optimisation? find the keywords you want to rank for and write your title tag and meta description to suit. Why is 'Matthew Mcconaughey' appearing in the title tag?

I would suggest focusing the content a little more - if you want celebrity news, then stick to celebrities - if you want political and world news then stick to that. Too broad a subject will mean google will think your site is too broad and not worth ranking for any of the topics covered.

Tight niche's are always helpful

 

Traffic comes with having a good site. You could have thousands of links into your site but then you will not be getting traffic if they are dull.

Try guest posting on sites in the niche, use social media (twitter, facebook, reddit, stumbleupon, etc) this is how people will find the site.

Linkcaptain is right in that writing about one "tight" niche may help you out rather than having everything on one site split it up into subdirectories.

The theme you have at the minute is a boring one that comes with wordpress try altering it. I had an issue with bounce rate on one of my blogs as the navigation was unclear so I changed it and the bounce has come down heavily, maybe this could help you out.

I do not like complex themes therefore, tried the simple one. If you have a simple theme in mind, I would love to hear about that!

 

I would change the theme it is too generic....also make sure that you are inter linking that is important now after the panda update

 

I checked your website that your website are fine..but low backlinks and lacking in SMO (Social Media Optimization) work..So you must do the effective Off Page Optimization and also include the SMO for visitors traffic toward your website...
