Review my web map

Hello all! I have made a website where every website owner can add a website on the webmap, where all websites look like small dots ) ... just for fun!

I suggest changing the logo to something with design on it, and adding more content to the homepage, it looks quite a bit too plain.

 

Interesting concept, but some work to be done as above.

 

I like the idea and the concept, but the pixels are too small, and I think if you target a specific niche it would be more successful. For now it's just going to be filled with sites that are looking for a quick link rather than real content that people would search for.

 

Thxs for comments, but I can't change dot size. If I make it bigger then the positioning of them will be not correct. Other things will change like logo, some colors and etc. I wonder if I should make home page the map or the catalogue page? How do you think?
And it would be nice if you click facebook share button )

 

What determines where a website appears on the map?

 

When user registers his website he can choose dot position on the map

 

Cool - I just got an idea for you, maybe the dot size could be bigger based on the size of the website, or the traffic or something like that. Just to add a bit of a dynamic element to it.

 

Well I cannot make dot size bigger, now it is 2 px, if I make it bigger then all dots display not correctly! Today I make a popup window on the map which describes the map, many visitors are confused when they look through the map)

 

If you cant make the dots bigger have you thought of including a category section/ search engine as personaly I would lose interest in trying to locate anything if i had to hover my mouse over the smallest of dots to find anything. Also what is the purpose of the web page?
The logo could perhaps do with being a bit more interesting aswell.

What a nifty idea! It kind of reminds me of the million dollar homepage. I was thinking it would be neat if you had a world map as the background that people to organize the sites by region instead of the plain white. Additionally, the dots are pretty hard to click. I was thinking maybe you could create a rect around groups of dots that could have a popup menu appear listing the dots within the rect. Maybe that could help the clicking issue.

All in all, very cool idea.

Anyway thx for positive and negative comments. They are all importnat to make a web map better. I wish you submit your websites (
