Wish I'd had this resource when I first started out with web design, great site. It's good that you've kept the language simple, and lots of screenshots, as a lot of websites presume some prior knowledge.
The only thing that comes to mind quite is the need for the header to grab the user's attention with the actual benefit right away. Of course there's the traffic thing.
I disagree I found it very hard to navigate. Even, if you give your explanation on how to still difficult to navigate through.
The design is nice and simple. But you need a logo. I have some tips for building your traffic(free). - Submit your site to free web directories - traffic/link exchanges - Twitter - Facebook - Ask for reviews on many webmaster forums. Here's a few: namepros, webmaster-talk
Its a really great work by you but have you submitted it to search engine and social bookmarking site for getting a traffic?
