Hello everybody I've just finished doing a travel website. I think I've done a pretty good design for it. I'm using an affiliate program, and mainly build the site around that. Any suggestions for improvements, placements, etc are welcome. Check it out at www.easytravelinfo.com Thanks in advance
Design is great! But it seems like i can see the codes at the homepage itself. Please try to debug it, i know it will be great.
Thanks a lot What do you mean, that you can see the code at the homepage itself? Not sure what you have in mind.
The site looks good when viewed in ie but when viewed in firefox 3 there are some cross browser compatibility issues that you should fix, directly below your header there are some codes, and the overall layout and design does not look good in firefox 3.
i can see these codes: '; cal += '' + TR_start; cal += ' '; cal += month_of_year[month] + ' ' + year + '' + TD_end + TR_end; cal += TR_start; /////////////////////////////////// // DO NOT EDIT BELOW THIS POINT // /////////////////////////////////// // LOOPS FOR EACH DAY OF WEEK for(index=0; index < DAYS_OF_WEEK; index++) { // PRINTS DAY cal += TD_start + day_of_week[index] + TD_end; } cal += TD_end + TR_end; cal += TR_start; // FILL IN BLANK GAPS UNTIL TODAY'S DAY for(index=0; index < dateObj.getDay(); index++) { cal += TD_start + ' ' + TD_end; } // LOOPS FOR EACH DAY IN CALENDAR for(index=0; index < DAYS_OF_MONTH; index++) { if( dateObj.getDate() > index ) { // RETURNS THE NEXT DAY TO PRINT week_day =dateObj.getDay(); // START NEW ROW FOR FIRST DAY OF WEEK if(week_day == 0) { cal += TR_start; } if(week_day != DAYS_OF_WEEK) { // SET VARIABLE INSIDE LOOP FOR INCREMENTING PURPOSES var day = dateObj.getDate(); // PRINTS DAY cal += TD_start + "" + day + "" + TD_end; } // END ROW FOR LAST DAY OF WEEK if(week_day == DAYS_OF_WEEK) { cal += TR_end; } } // INCREMENTS UNTIL END OF THE MONTH dateObj.setDate(dateObj.getDate()+1); }// end for loop cal += '
Site layout and design is fantastic. However, you might want to work on the load time of your home page. Secondly, Top Left Yellow area is all empty. Cheers Indian Financial Portal http://www.vjondalalstreet.com http://blog.vjondalalstreet.com
I was working on the site thats why the yellow area was empty, please check it out again. I've managed to remove the faulty code when viewing it in Firefox so all should look good now, check it out. Site loads in 2-3 seconds at my end, a bit longer doing searches, but that's normal. Hows it loading with you? Thanks again for the nice comments.
Thank you very much. I'm currently working on features to make it possible for people to post their own travel blogs and pictures.
Sejler, i interested to review your blog in my blog.Price US10 only.Contact me at ym my blog first. http://amirulcyber.com
the design is great, everything has its place and intuitive to find, in the upper part of the page, in the lower part you might use some borders for "Top Hotel Destinations" and "Top Destinations" and you also might put "Top Destinations" first( i would probably look for a destination first and then a hotel) other thing its the the phone numbers in the header overpower the logo which kinda makes you look there and not at the logo and name of the site, just reduce the font size for those numbers, would make people remember your site better.
Very much Professional looks, great design and nice layout as well. I think you website have lot of potential, good luck with it mate.
I like the way you design the logo which I think is creative. There are also interesting colors which basically reflects the site theme. Overall, looks pretty neat and impressive.
Thanks all for the nice comments, currently doing link exchanges to get the site going. Keep them coming.
