Review my template please

Hi all,

what do you think about this template please?

Many people said me that this template is bad and ugly but I think, that it is not so bad.

I like brown templates- - I think people either love them or hate them

 

Soft colors make it good. Your fonts are clear but too big. I think its about your sites' resolution.

 

There isn't much to comment on as theres no logo and no content. It's a pretty basic, formal layout and would suit a certain type of business or content theme. I have personally used brown layouts in the past and see no problem with them - but again, it's down to personal preference.

The background does look like a bad carpet in an old people's home if I'm being honest. I would suggest losing it and go for a subtle, brown, gradient-based background instead.

Another point is that anyone familiar with Photoshop will instantly recognize the emblems that you've used around the 'contact info' part of the page. This may be perceived as being unprofessional, lazy or as a lack of creativity.

Formal or not is just a taste thing. I love formality layout as well inside a tidy and organized anything; font, menu color compose, etc.

mantisa, may I convert it to worpress theme? PM, me if you permit it.

There is advantage, because the file with template contains the PSD file, so user can edit the template (color, ...).

 

Looks cool, nice colours and userfriendly layout.

Nice template but i think the header needs to retouch or put some graphic there.Too quite and plain.

Clean and editable. It seems a little bloggy but since it is editable colors can change. I was thinking of using brown for mine but I thought a simpler look with a clean blue in the header.

 

The colour change in not problem because, the PSD file is included for easier editing.

 

I like it. I think brown is not a really popular color, which is why people say it's ugly. But I like the color scheme. I'm sure the people who said it's ugly just prefer brighter colors.

The pattern on the background stands out a bit much. Maybe lowering the opacity would make it a bit more subtle.

What colour do you prefer please?

 

The brown color on the header and right side not in the same line (on header have more red)

Header text maybe need a little fix, darker color will make it more stand out or a little background graphic

On the top menu, hover-state background can make it better, and bolder text too
maybe better use different hover-color than using underline to no-underline on the menu

Rounded box plus circle (hole?) on every corner (on the right) doesn't match with your entire themes

OK, that's just my opinion
