hello, i've been working on my blog for nearly a month now, I am relatively unexperienced with making websites so I'm just looking for suggestions on how to make my website better. Do you think the adsense is in good places, I have been moving around and changing the adsense a lot to try to maximize my earnings. My adsense has had 1,243 impressions and I have made $2.08 on 7 clicks. (my ctr is .56%). Is this horribly bad, or just decent click through rate, what is a good clickthrough to strive for?
Does anyone have suggestions on my site design, is it too crouded for your taste?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated, http://www.toddstocks.blogspot.com/

your ctr is not good i think.it should be 2-5%. you can get clicks from the top banner ads.because visiter should understand that it is an ad placement.change the color to white.also you can use the menu ads.they are best ads on blogs.

You might want to change the color of the banner ads to better blend.
One month is too soon for a higher CTR.

I'm not a huge fan of the header, it's too large... and kind of bare. For your adsense below it, change the background color to white for better blending. Also, I think everything would look more organized with a fixed width.

Yeap, make the header smaller, and blend the header in. Right now it looks like a whole bunch of disconnected elements, it will look better if you make them look like part of a coherent whole.

Also pick a strong color scheme and stick to it, there are too many colors. I think pick 1 main color, 1 complementary color, and use variations of those only. Black and white also included, for a total of 4 colors (+ variations).

    How to pick complementary colors?
