ewwww the first thing I see is Aqua text on a white background. Thats NOT good! (all the links show this way All of the rollovers at the top make it impossible to see what you're clicking on once the mouse hovers over it...not a good feature Its not really site design related but what makes your social network site different? How is it better? These are things I would emphasize on the front page if you really want this site to succeed. You should really aim for a niche market. There is no way you can compete with MySpace or FaceBook so if you want more people than just your friends to sign you you need to find that one thing you can do better or that smaller community that you can serve better by being targeted to them. Validate your CSS (10 errors) Validate your XHTML (3 errors)(Or switch to a theme that validates) There are lots of empty content areas, I would suggest you get some content up so its easier to evaluate the actual site The join now and login buttons are invisible as to their meaning until you hover over them If you want this site to be taken seriously you need to: Find your niche Fix the rollovers lose the Aqua on white Content Content Content! Set goals! Without them this site will never be more than a hobby
You should consider to change the onmouseover a bit. When I am using the menu the text goes white which is a bit frustrating
others have said it well. One other thing you might want to concider doing is the issue with the Welcome Intro is still in a default state. I know it doesn’t seem major, but sometimes that little detail can look unprofessional. good luck!
First of all i don't like the home page. The letter vanishes when onmouseover. Change that. And also try to change the design...
