What seems to be the problem on this site... http://vongadgets.blogspot.com/ What will I do if I have another site and I want to post google ads their, will I have to register the site to goolgle and how to paste competetive ads on HTML? I only used from that of blogger when pasting my ads.
ok. I as i can see you are new to blogging and adsense i'm gonna gve you lots of advice here as i was once where you are now. Some of it may be challenging, but it's all worth while. 1. If you'r gonna make money from a blog you need to pick a "niche" topic. This means choose a topic on ONE subject. It will help for many reasons. First, because if your blog is all about tech stuff, and you have tech ads, people will be more likely to click. If you have a blog about everything and you get an add on tech stuff, only the people interested in tech stuff will click. follow? Second, if you have a blog about one topic it will help your search engine rankings a lot. If your blog is all about tech stuff then if someone googles a term on tech stuff you are more likely to come up 2. Blend your ads with your website. If you want people to click your ads have to look like helpful content, not ads. people don't wanna click ads. That means making your ads match your website. How do you do this? well, there are many ways. I reccomend the book "The adsense code" by Joel Comm. Also google the term "how to blend adsense ads" and see what comes up. You need to expiriemnt with it and track all your results with a custom "channel" (adsenses way for you to track clicks) you can google info on that too. 3. Quit using blogger while you still can! I too started off with blogger. I did b/c it was really easy and free. But wordpress is just a much more powerful tool. you will get a lot further with it and it has many cool "plugins" that allow you to add really nea features to your site. there are also many more custom templates. But if you stick with blogger you need to play around with your template (back up a copy first in case you screw something up). Try putting adsense links in your sites header to look like a top menu for your site. Wordpress is a little harder, and if you wanna do it right you should register your own domain name and pay for hosting 4. It's gonna be really tough and first and you will not see results for a while, but keep with it and try to be consistant at posting even if you don't have any visitors (get google analytics to track your traffic, it's free), and even if you aren't making any money. It takes a lot of time and hard work, you're not gonna get rich quick... I hope i didn't discourage you, but i learned from experience and i hope this helps. I also STRONGLY reccomend you go to www.problogger.net and browse the articles there. i learned SOOO much from that site. read some of the older or "featured" posts.. Hope that helps!!
