There are lots of directories out there, what do you think to make it more effective? Because everything is just ordinary.

simple, crisp design...i would be looking to add something to differentiate from the norm.

 

Looks like a good start but everything needs a bit of polish. Also, there are thousands of directories out there, what makes yours better? Why would I go to your site over somebody elses? As secretpaysfast said, add RSS feeds or something, anything that would make this site unique would help it greatly!

 

yeah definitely needs to be a bit more unique, otherwise it looks nice.

 

looks good, could use a more broad display of content. and maybe a "Most Popular" list.

 

It looks too blue and white. Try throwing up nice big random images from flickr, something like projectwonderful.com (not my site I swear) does.
