Placed AS on http://www.willsthrills.com about 2 months back. What do you think? Currently delivering a whopping $1/day or so in "profit".

    for my personal www history
YOU are holder of the official worldrecord in MOST HTML-code ERRORS on a single page

    Failed validation, 809 errors
... on your domain start page

    see

    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http://www.willsthrills.com/

    if you fixed ALL errors
then bots will love you and if you even may change yoru BLACK colors left and right
evenb surfers may love the site

    for my personal favor
i would strictly NEVER surf a site with black back ground or black sides as yours ...
    no wonder traffic is down

but others may feel attracted by darkness ??
me i prefer friendly fresh colors

I dont think the ads at the top will give a lot of clicks. It seems to blend in too well, but not seem as if it is part of the content.

As you (hopefully) can tell, I've redesigned my site since my original post. I'm still looking for advice, as the site is now generating a very low CTR a day.

Hi Folks, I just wanted to take part in this "rate my site" thread.

I have two site I run that utilize Adsense.

1: www.rafans.net - fan site for my friends band

2: www.hikingthenortheast.com - I am just in the building process here. My goal is to create traffic for Adsense.

Let me know what you think.

    Cheers!
    :)

i think the google ads at the top of the page are excellent. I saw them immediately when I got to the page, and my eyes didn't dart away. Maybe it is my browser(I'm using Firefox) but it looks like you have text scrolling outside the border.

    i see it
    but you still have:
    Failed validation, 162 errors
    and many tag errors

what about a redesign to 0 errors ??

you mess up HTML and Xhtml !! causing you errors

w3c tells you instantly and far more accurately your real situation and your real problems
    before SEO can start
    just revalidate the following link
    http://validator.w3.org/check?verbose=1&uri=http://www.hikingthenortheast.com/
until 0 errors then all is fine

make sure you are using ONE precise editor to make any corrections
and make sure you have THAT ONE editor configured for the correct charset
that is one of your problems ...
you forgot the charset definition in your metatags
it has to be the same as the editor settings you use to CREATE AND re-edit/correct your pages !!!

    have fun

Kinda Crappy to say the least. You need to fix the formatting and there is no content. As a result google may disable your account. Adsense ads work on content pages.
