I own the site www.w4t3r.com, and even though I've bought a lot of directory submissions for it, and just purchased $60 worth of links (20 links, $3 each, PR2 or higher), my PR is still 0! Not only that, but my site is full of content. I have like 10 articles on it, I wrote them all myself, and still nothing. I would have at least liked to see my rank achieve 1... but nothing. What am I doing wrong?
From the user's point of view, the centered text is hard to read. The font size is a bit small also. You should also take a look at your title and meta tags, I don't think they are used to the fullest potential. And the site only started in March. You will need to be patient.
I think you can add more image to your homepage to make it looks exciting! Do more link exchange with other humor/entertainment sites. And just wait for the PR...i am still waiting too...
What do you think I should change the title too? Also, I thought meta tags were useless nowadays, at least from what I've read.
The design needs a major upgrade imo. It's just doesn't scream... 'fun' or 'humor' or 'rants' at all and thats what you are targetting.
try using good quality templates. Your website looks really boring at the moment because it just doesnt glow. and the black background is also bad. But the content is good. Dont take this negatively. Work Hard!!!!!
I'll need to get my programmer to do a complete redesign, but I'll get him to do it after I give him the $50, oh yes. Thanks for saying the content is good, it's all 100% written and produced by me. All of it, every single bit. Thank you for the help.
Hi Kaabi, congrats I noticed your site is now PR2. I took a quick peek at your site's backlinks and noticed you had no links over PR3. I normally don't do this but I was feeling generous so I took the time to link back to your site from a PR5 dofollow blog. Hopefully that should help bump your PR2 up to a PR3 at least. I also made the anchor text appear as "Funny Stories & Pictures" to help your keyword ranking in the SERPs for those terms. Good luck, hope this upcoming PR update favors you.
From the point of users , not seems to be very attractive n readable your content, please change the format and used meta tags .
You may want to add a blog (i didn't see one on your site) and just add your site to bunch of blog directories, which will get you links.
