This is my new site, its been up and running for a month or so. I'm getting some traffic, but people aren't signing up to be members. Can you look and see if maybe I've left out important information that you would find in a site such as this? Or the way I've set up the site isn't pleasing? This is the description I've used for the search engines: Digital-Talk Forums is a forum dedicated to DVD collectors and computer enthusiasts alike. The site provides useful tips; guides, tutorials, and computer help to those wishing to author and create DVDs. In addition, the moderators have included in the forum, information about several software, hardware, and media related topics. We are a close-knit community who are looking to make new friends and share our interests.
I REALLY like the high-tec header! The whole color scheme looks great as well My only suggestion would be to look for different icons that suit the color scheme more. Looking good!
The site looks nice - I find the background to be too dark About getting users is a bit hard - you need to actively promote your site.
I don't like the dark colour scheme - looks like a rainy day in the e.k. Seriously, I personally find dark backgrounds like that a real strain on the eye and tend to avoid them.
I like the theme, but it's rather hard to read. My suggestion is picking, if possible, a lighter theme. If you want your visitors to do a certain action, you might as well specifically request it.
I like the site, looks really futuristic with that header etc. I agree with Cratima that its quite hard to read, maybe lighten the background a little? Good luck with it though
