It's a win-win situation I recently overhauled my blog so take a look and see if there's anything I can do better, what you like, what you don't like, etc. One major problem I'm currently having is that I still don't get totally targeted ads. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. And what do you think about the ad placement and tactics. I have meta tags, google section targeting, technorati tags, eliminated cuss words, tried to use my context keywords, have almost 200 posts, applied to about a dozen directories, have rotating random images, affiliate products, etc. bloody etc. My traffic has recently doubled as well and I'm getting more backlinks (though Google doesn't seem to recognize them and Technorati only shows a portion of them). Tested under IE/Mozilla 1024 and 1280, medium text and it all looks good on my end.
I would have loved to read it, but it does not display correctly in IE, and it gets scrunched up in NS.
I checked it out in IE6 and it looked fine. Be interested to know how your adsense at the top goes. The positioning looks good but the images above are of pretty poor quality. Couldn't you get anything clearer? I checked out your stats. You have a high amount of pages read per reader so your content must be pretty good for the market you have targeted. (None of your titles compelled me to read further so I guess I don't fit your niche)
Thx for the input! The leaderboard board brings in quite a few clicks, don't know how it compares to others, but I'm pulling in an IPU of 0.01 to 0.02 almost exclusively from the leader. Skyscraper distant second. The images I cropped and resized down to 102x160, would it have been better to just crop it and let it automatically be resized by the HTML table tag?
Looks decent in IE6... I feel the text it a little too large - the text on DP is a nice readable size Besides that, you've probably hit on a niche no one else thought of = you high number of pageviews in your sitemeter You must be following the spirit of "The Game" by Neil Strauss.
Whats the ctr for the leaderboard? Images - they seemed to have been optimized down to much - the size of your images should always be equal to the size in your html.
If I'm not mistaken? I don't think you can reveal your CTR, maybe wrong. Newbie HTML question, but what do you mean specifically that images = html size? Anyways, seems like the major complaint is font size so I guess I'll lower it back down to normal size. I always thought the "normal" font size was waaaay to small, but maybe that's because my monitor is set to 1280x1024. Thanks everyone and keep the comments coming!
Thanks for taking a look! Can you tell me which articles? I've been going back and resizing the font, but at 200 posts, it's going to be a while. Thanks again!
