A forum needs to be lightning fast or people won't be coming back, yours is terribly slow, at least from my end, that's the first and most important thing you should fix. I can just see it loading piece by piece.. Move to another host and consider enabling output buffering.
The speed needs work, that would be one reason as stated by others -- other ways include forum boosting where you get a ton of threads and posts started (due to a low activity on the site). Possibly adsense revenue sharing? I really like the look of the forum in its entirety -- maybe start adding more threads yourself to spark conversation? And placing guides, faqs and answers for all of the new games would really build a large following. Take guides from sites like http://www.gamesradar.com/f/batman-...lenge-guide/a-2009082614217603032#secrets_map and then other sites and try to also rank your site highly for those keywords. The more the threads and posts, the more activity will grow
Very nice layout and color scheme is nice, matching the XBOX colors. The different sized fonts all over the page are a bit distracting to my eye.
