The site is very nice. I like the color combination. However, if you're not getting much from adsense, you might consider changing the ads placement.
The ads don't seem to have anything to do with the content. They may be entertainment-related, but that's as far as it goes. Do something about showcasing these riddles more attractively. Put an ad of some sort by "Click here for the answer". In fact, just one ad there, or anywhere else where the user will already be wanting to click will be much more useful than any of the other, virtually invisible ads. So, to sum it up, I'd say to make the website itself flashier, and to reduce the flashiness of the ads. Since riddles are fun, the flashiness of the site design would be welcomed, and the ads would supply a measure of levity to the site.
The overall layout and design is good and I think your ad placement is good as well however I have to agree with jameswithers the ads on your site are not directly related to your content that's probably why you have a poor click through rate.
Thank you for your responses all. I had thought of moving the ads myself. I will try the suggestion of putting ads where the user is more inclined to click.
