http://animethemes.net I've completely rebuilt this site from the ground up. The old design looked very incomplete, and the adsense placement was pretty much an afterthought. I've tried to create a template that both looks nice, fits the site, and is also as functional as possible, while trying to place the ads in good positions. This template was originally created for one of my other anime sites(http://crimsonanime.com). Both sites are meant to be part of the same network of sites, so I figure designing them around the same basic style would be a good idea. Basically, just have a look around, and tell me what you like, don't like, or any advise you have. I'm still trying to decide what to put in the area to the left of the girl in the footer(big empty box, it's easy to pick out). That spot is actually meant to fit three different elements. A single line at the top, a single line at the bottom, and whatever fits in the middle. Have a look at the crimson anime footer to see what I mean. Thanks.
very nice! easy and simple to use... but i would suggest changing the color... it makes it a little difficult to focus.
you definitely need to change the color. that dark green / khaki is not suitable when you have black font ont op of it. its very hard to read.
Been a while. This site has been completely rebuilt, yet again. It's also relocated to http://anime-themes.net. About a year and a half ago, I sold the site, and the new owner seemed to have allowed it to die, and then shut it down. So I decided to buy a new domain and rebuild it. Before I sold it, it was looking at 40k to 80k uniques per month. But even with so many people using the site, not a single comment was ever posted anywhere on the site, nor any users uploading images or using any features other than the wallpaper downloads. So this time I've built things cleaner, more modern, and easier to read and use. I've also custom-built many add-ons for the 4images gallery that this site is built on top of. So I'm looking for some feedback, questions, and suggestions from the knowledgeable community here. You will need to log in to see everything, so if you don't feel like registering, demo account is: user: 4images pass: 4images I've given that account some favorites already, so you can see how that works as well. Pages to note are: Main page: http://anime-themes.net Categories page(to try the "sort by color." I have to manually edit the image's colors in the AdminCP, and there are over 15,000 of them lol): http://anime-themes.net/categories.php?cat_id=220 Details page (also demo comments): http://anime-themes.net/details.php?image_id=13139 Member profile: http://anime-themes.net/member.php?action=showprofile&user_id=1 I've chosen to link to those specific pages because the information on those pages are fully entered. My profile, because it's complete. That category, because I've set the colors for the images in that one(it will take time to go through all the images for that feature). And that image because it has some demo comments. Any feedback is appreciated. If you don't like the colors, be sure to use the style switcher on the left of the page(all pages). Registered users can save their settings, while for guests, it reverts to default when they leave the page. *EDIT* A few points to note. I am not yet done with the rebuild. I'm still coding a forum, as well as a friends system, and several other features such as VIP accounts and Zazzle store integration. Also, there are currently no ads on the site. I have places marked out for ads(which you can see on many pages where the right side appears empty). But I can't place adsense until I've finished reviewing all of the images. Every image has to be marked with a maturity rating, and adsense(or other providers) will appear, or not, based on the maturity settings for the images. I've had my site banned by adsense once and just got it unbanned. Don't want to get it banned all over again. lol
I will suggest changing the color of the border around the names of Anime just below the category filter
