    Hello all!
I'm currently sorting out my portfolio page, and i'm in need of some feedback.
    http://www.minimalito.be

I specialize (or at least, I try ^^) in minimal design, that will be quite clear when you visit my website. Just give me your most sincere feedback!
Think it's crap? Spit it out!
Does it remind you of a U2 song (although it can't be THAT bad)? Tell me!

Focus mainly on the design, although it's not 100% finished yet, that big idea is there.
You will see the projects I did, that's mostly dummy content (except for 'Objekt architecten').

You can look at the code as well of course, but I'm still in the proces of removing redundant code and looking for ways to increase efficieny. Tips welcome!

edit: forgot something, my site looks weird on IE8, could anyone pinpoint why?

That said, I hope you all like the site!
    Peace!

    Hey there,

I like the concept so far, but you really need to make it more interesting. I'm 100% for minimal design, but for a portfolio type of site, you need to engage the users. When you put some of your work in there you can still stay with the neutral color theme. I would display screenshots of your portfolio items in gray scale. If you have any more questions feel free to contact me. I have been designing websites for over 6 years now just in case your wondering :p

Hi - your site has next to nothing on there. I guess that's part of the minimal design. If I happened to have found that site I would have no idea what it is you did or offered. I think you should have more designs on there and details as to what you are offering/selling.

I don't like to make a habit of bumping old threads, but am definitely curious.

The site's visual components are very attractive to the eye, and it looks original to say the least in terms of layout. My question for you though is this; specifically what are you seeking to receive feedback on regarding your website and portfolio? Without content, what can the customer (or consumer) realistically use to determine whether or not it would be in their best interest to utilize your service or services?

If I had to make one suggestion, at this time it would be that you consider perhaps filling (at least) one side bar (left or right) with categorized pieces of work, demonstrating your capabilities, and the services you provide. Additionally, would you ever consider making a Youtube video and connecting it to your site with you identifying the different services you provide--a sort of step by step walk through via your voice and perhaps a desktop visualization showing the strategies you use? It's just an idea, and you may think it's a poor one. In 24 hours, I too may think it's a poor one as well. This is a part of the process in which such steps should be taken in being most successful in the development of any type of website, including something as 'simple' as a business portfolio--or serving for herein purpose. I wish you all the best of luck, and look forward to potentially hearing back from you. William

    Minimal indeed; I like it.

I also like your work on objektarchitecten and would like to see more of your portfolio.

    Cheers

Your site has a nice layout, but you probably need to add some images. Especially when you are dealing with visual subjects like architecture. It shouldn't be too difficult to find effective images that work well with the minimal styling. I would try using monotone colour schemes for your portfolio pics.

Way too basic IMO even though you like it minimal, this look like you are not putting any effort on what you do. Looks like I am watching a cubic game, white / black / squares, sort that out.

it's too simple. maybe you should try adding a few colors to it.
