Hello, DP members, Hope you all are doing great. Actually I had started my new tech blog http://wmtechie.com and request you all to please take a look in to this and help me to make it much more attractive and productive too. Any ideas, suggestions are highly welcome.
Cool site, and if all the content is unique your off to a good start. I think the thing you would benefit the most from is SEO, maybe try and find some not as popular keywords and write articles off those search terms, then try and rank for that search term with the article you made. (so i would say focus some seo on the article 'tips for buying a bluetooth speaker wisely' and similar articles and you can get it ranking no1 in google for that term and dont focus seo on posts such as 'bluehost review' etc that have huge competition). When starting off this is the best way to work your way up to more and more popular search terms. you can use adwords tools to see how many searches are done on certain keyword terms and then look at the actual search results to see if it has any major competition. from there you can judge the articles to write next. Maybe style the theme up a little, it still seems kind of default for wordpress. Also you are liked to 2 facebook pages, the wmtechie one and what seems like your personal FB profile. You should only link to the wmtechie one, and maybe make the twitter account and gplus names wmtechie instead of your name. This will brand your site more. good luck
I am just a newbie so i am going to review it in short words - For me the site looks great content wise but needs to get tight with the quality in terms of color and design. Best of Luck!
It's nice... I recommend to add some pepper to your website... maybe enrich the design a little bit so it won't be boring.
Nice site. I have one bit of advice that has helped me out in the past. Get rid of those adverts. for now you are starting off correct? build up traffic then put absence on later. Readers want to feel connected to the author. Adverts discourage them from that. build up an e-mail list and build blog traffic then think about starting absence again You don't have to, just some advice I have an article on my blog that can help you drive traffic. Take note on the author page section.... It's always good to deactivate the author page link. When someone hovers over your name it shows the link on the bottom right on of the browser. This is a security risk. http://www.onlinedimes.com/get-traffic-to-your-website/ My first impression of the site was "absence" not "blog". Just my 2 cents.
I agree. It seems bland now, but you can liven it up with color. Make sure the color combination is eye-catching but doesn't make reading difficult. Also, do away with the ads. At least for now. I've checked some of the content and I like that the blog entries are skimmable I suggest getting someone to proofread or edit the entries so you can boost the quality of your content. Hope we've helped!
Thanks all for your valuable comments and suggestions. I have tweak my site design and request you all to have a look and tell me whether it is appealing or not.
Don't worry about design. Some of the ugliest sites make great money because of the regular content they curate and yours looks clean. How did you get such a high ranking in such a short amount of time? It's pretty obvious that you are not driving traffic from social media...
Thanks Michaela for your awesome review. Actually I am bit focus on my site seo. I am particularly focus on keywords.
Your site is good for content and the way that you marketed it. I think everything is all good, except that it needs a new logo, theme, different colors. It just needs to be spiced up and brightened up a little bit. Also maybe different placement of your ads. Your blog is easy to read and connect to your content. I also like the links to the popular posts. Keep up the good work.
