Hey, Ive just finished www.proxyswap.com my new free proxy banner exchange, ive edited the site to make it simple for users to navigate and understand. Id appreciate your thoughts.
Yeah it is clean. But I am an average joe and I still don't know what to do at your site. So do you sign up and have to put banners on my website and does that get poeple to my website. I don't really have a clear understanding. I like the layout! All the best!
Pros - Neat site design (not my cup of tea) - Variable font size (nice) - Site loads pretty quickly (no graphics - great) - Cons - It is still hard for me to understand what is proxyswap (may be I need to do some careful reading). I know you have tried to explain it on the site. But I don't still get it. Banner exahange for anything proxy related? What proxy are you talking about here? I am confused. Terrible - contact us doesn't work (comes up with an error page) - this tells that you didn't test things thoroughly or you are so careless. - The password field in the sign up form is in plain text. This tells that either you are too careless about the site or you didn't know about it. Use <input type=password...> , rather than <input type=text>... Other - put a notice that account activation is needed in the registration page (otherwise people try their best to avoid giving their real email) This is a quick review from me. Nothing personal, but I have tried to provide a honest feedback. I will look in detail later if time permits and provide further feedback. Also if you have a chance please look at the site http://www.sitesonnet.com (my site) to provide your feedback. Thanks. -
I would add a gradient blue header behind the top part of your site Proxy Swap Free Proxy Banner Exchange to make the site seem less plain. A nice header can go a long way
I think it looks to much alike the default wordpress design. Just my taste though, I dont like that to much.
That's a nice and clean looking site, but my eyes don't quite know where to settle and that makes it difficult for me to determine what the site is about. I'm hit by "Earn for Every Click" before I find that it's a "free proxy banner exchange". The Navigation and Links sections seem a bit lost to me, as well. Perhaps breaking up the sections of main text with a little more space and/or colour might help.
