Hello All! I started a new project and I have put tons of time and hard work into it. Basically its a site that allows people to sell their own products through it and me the site owner gets 10% per sale. The site is called PublishSpace.com and I would love for all of you to check it out, tell me what you think and join to become a publisher yourself if you write any online media. I have big plans for this site and people are already joining in as we speak! Thanks much and God Bless!
The site looks good but the concept is similar to amazon.com, I have to ask you why would someone use your site instead of amazon.com?
Its actually quite different then amazon... Amazon is for mainstream companies, mine is for the start up person who wants to get their name out their and make some money. As I said its raw but people seem to like it and I appreciate your honesty!
typo: "our publisher program is inexspensive" should be "our publisher program is inexpensive" Perhaps add a "number of products in this category" element
I like the look of your website, but wondering what good it is to me as a customer. You charge 10% for a sale. For about the same cost, if not more, i can list in amazon with millions of viewers and much safer viewer base. You said earlier that your website is aimed at start up people, but i really dont think you need much to go to amazon and sell things, heck, my mom sold a few old books at amazon recently. Give me some features that are added. cause i am not seeing any. 1. Are you giving buyer protection? 2. Are you paying for shipping. If you are concentrating only on digital products then we have clickbank for the same.. (sorry for the brutal honestly)
You got the name for the idea, i think you can improve the design though, it seems to be a cross between amazon and paypal. Also do you think its necessary to have clipart for your categories? Personally i wouldn't have it, you would want to make your site trust worthy and professional, skip the clipart. Your site has potential, work on the design a bit more, then market yourself..
Hey guys thanks for the honesty, I have more plans to take this thing to the next level but as it grows I can work on that. I can't work out every little detail before it opens because I need to see if people want it first you know? So far 2 people have signed up and so it seems like people like it but only time will tell... + This is only for digital products you make yourself. Self Publishing, sort of like Lulu but for all clean material!
Great work, dude, but what about advertising? Do you rely on word of mouth, or have big plans about ads on another recources?
Word of mouth is powerful so for now going that route till the site makes some money and I can invest So far its made $50.00 profit, not bad for 2 days and no advertising other then telling people about it People must like the site and concept!
Show latest products upper than categories, and you can show latest products like slide show. And you can add flash clip of showing how it is usefull for start up person , and why sell over your website And what do you do for payment prossesing ? And for shopping websites it would be great to use https instead of http , to make it more secure
I suggest you create a hierarchy in your commission, like $10 for all the newbies $5 for people who do more business, $2 for the extreme's. Best wishes for your site ahead
Not bad. If you have a decent number of buyers and sellers, that should make quite a lot of money. However, you need to provide a form of security for your customers. I tried to browse the faq section but can't seem to find information related to this.
1. I feel you need a professional logo. 2. You need a favicon. 3. There is a horizontal scroll bar for a small bit, try to get rid of it. 4. There is too much white space..... Hope i was of some help
