Review my new logo

Hi everyone. I've posted a new logo to my blog that I am thinking of going sitewide with, but I want some input. Please visit http://blog.financenewstoday.com and look at the new logo and let me know what you think positive or negative.

 

it looks a little grainy .. maybe use a high res picture? But I guess it suits your site's content..

 

yeah, it's a rough draft. Any other thoughts?

its too simple. perhaps adding a little bit of 'bevel and emboss' effect to the sun ? ... My two cents.

 

Yeah, make it look a little more real and not as "cartoony" JMO though.

 

Thanks everyone for the input. Any more suggestions. I will use these along with the basic logo designed when I hand it over to my graphics guy.

 

you should add some art like filter design to the sun so its more pictur-esc and then style writing more, find some nice fonts, add a sleight bevel n emboss, and a faint 3 way gradient...something like that...

 

its too simple. make it attrctive.

 

1st, the logo looks ragged. 2nd it look somewhat childish, try to create an icon reflecting the blog’s idea. Try to experiment with stylizing the acronym or try creating an icon as something totally unrelated. Good luck!

no offense, but it looks like a MS paint job.

you might want to make a gradient effect in the sun and make the rays straight.

 

I would definitely use a gradient on the sun - needs some depth and dimension. Good Luck.

 

Maybe it casts a shadow over something? Show a silouette of a couple of business men talking?

Design is simple and good, easy to read the logo.. but you have to do something about the way you save your logo. The quality of the pictures is not that good.

 

I used Paint Shop Pro to create the logo. I have made a couple of changes and removed the sun.

 

Its a nice logo but the subtle colour changes make it seem a little blurry.

Why not flush 'personal finance' to the right. The top would look more balanced that way. Logo is blurry bcos of the drop shadow. But I think it's ok cos no one's gonna stare at it the whole time, right?
