    Nice list of topics but I agree with Foci, you need a few more things. A logo would be good. You can get a cheap one on Fiverr. Make it look more user friendly. I know that's vague. Use this forum is a good example of a profitable and active forum.

    So very bland, where is the user base of followers from other sites who have followed you to this new venture?
    What is your unique point of difference to make people use your forum over other established, populated forums?
    You need to make that point of difference obvious.

    Looks so empty, anyway since it is new I know you can still improve on it and add a little description on the subforums.
    And also, you might want to change your social media links to favicon, so it'll look more noticeable.

    many ways to improve. my first tip would be to change the home page instead of showing what you do do a blog style list of topics
    with content from the forum itself this will help with seo,i would move towards a stackoverflow type of forum style.
