I would keep the one with the stars and the lighter background on the recent projects title. The rest of it is just fine. That's mine opinion...
Nice site! Just thought I'd throw this in... If you plan on having any amount of text, remember it's always harder to read light text on dark background than it is dark text on light background. That's why every news and company site (EBay, PayPal, Amazon, etc.), as well as paper novels use the latter. I don't know what your traffic is or if it's applicable to you but I thought I'd throw out this important accessibility point! Good luck with the site!
To Rochow, how about changing the black colour part used on your webpage. You could replace black colour with a navy blue colour so so..
I know, that is why it won't have much text on it - because it would just be pointless! I'll have a go and see how it looks
I agree. By validating in the xhtml and css it looks like the Web site is quality and more proffesional. Its not something overly important that a Website needs to have but it certainly does not hurt to include it on the footer the Website.
not bad. a "standard" web2.0 decision. visual structure seems to have been taken from another site. entirely, a good decision, mush better than many many sites i've seen in the web.
Web 2.0 was what I was aiming for, hopefully clients like it aswell... maybe I should make a more normal looking site.
Nice design has a hint of the CSS-ish design trend in there I love the header area the most! The only thing I would change is adding more spacing between your text and elements.
I like the header design but agree 100% that the background would look better and easier to read if it was lighter - maybe a paler blue shade of one of your header blues if you don't want to go white? Maybe something like a #D9EFFF
