Hi, New blog about news, tech, whatever comes up in current events, blog posts about blogs, opinions. Take a look and tell me what you think. blog: What is going on, blog chicklet/button code: <div style="font:9px Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; width:100px;"> <p><a href="http://whatisgoingonblog.blogspot.com">What is going on, blog</a></p> </div>
you got a ton of affiliate info on there... thats good and bad, you might want to axe some of the programs on there that will take away from revenue you are trying to get. (like focus more on adsense than cpa banners or vica verca). Also, as far as the layout... you can try a background color or something within each h1 h2 h3 tag.
Some color would be nice. And like mmay said, you've got way too many affiliate ads on the site. Turned me off immediately.
I kind of wanted to go with that blank pallet look for the blog so that the ads can stand out but i hear you about too many pic ads, break some down and categorize it on the sidebars
thanks guys, without changing the format where do you think adsense ads would be most effective? Keep the reviews coming, thanks so much
Add some color. You've got everything sitting on a plain white background, with no boxes to help organize different elements. You've also got too many affiliate links, which really seem to get in the way. I'd also suggest limiting the subjects covered by your blog, as you'll get higher quality traffic and better conversions from your advertising if your blog is about just one or two topics.
Thanks for this advice, I got to at least get smaller ads as the big ones are getting too obtrusive. My blog is about really "what is going on" sort of like current events and cool new things, or cool new blogs/sites. I hope to get readers and comments interested in that kind of stuff. thanks again for the advice.
The only thing I don't like is that you have ads between the article and the navigation menu. That doesn't work for usability and detracts from the site.
That is true, i don't like it much either but it shows up in my feedburner feed which is cool. I'm going to just put little buttons for now on.
