I think it looks good. maybe just make your archive links a slightly different color to make them stand out more from the content....they sort of blend in right now.
I went for a fast review and ended up reading the whole UFO story. Very nicely written but once I finished and came back to the forum I saw spots everywhere from reading the white text on black background. Other then that very nice blog.
