Review my layout design..

I just finished it today and was wondering what you guys think. It's just the design.

Constructive criticism please...

 

Great but background is too strong (NPZ logo) and he is interspersed with a content.
The rest is nice.

 

yeah the "npz background" is that watermarked or what?

i like the colors that you used,,,it looks good with your layout..looks clean...

the space for your ads is perfect! well, maybe just more improvement with your logo... just some minor imrpovement that will reflect the concept of your site...

 

Looks good. Except for the background. Maybe fewer logos in the tile or lower the transparency if you must keep them.

 

yea... mybad guys - the npz are just watermarks - i should've made them lighter and more transparent... thanks for all the feedback

 

Very Very nice I think NPC in the header wouldn't look to bad even if it wasn't a watermark.

 

Try to make the corners more rounded...
Try to separate the categories with a dotted line or something...

I think it's pretty cool. The font at the top could be changed, but it's not something to worry about. However, the background is much too busy and is distracting from the content. It's a nice work though overall

 

the watermark is way too strong. Nobody is going to steal your stuff. The corners aren't round. (you made the shape then resized it useing transform)

the font outlining doesn't match the feel of the header background. Pick a stripe pattern and stick with it. Pick a better sans-serif font and make it bigger. drop the outline possibly.

then again it doesn't matter because you are dealing with myspace and you could make it flashing between pink and dark blue and nobody would care.

 

I like the layout a lot. It is very appealing to the eye and the color sceme is great. It also flows very well. Great job!

 

you've got some good ideas, but i don't like the huge strokes on the text. and the jagged lines on the stroke that are on the header logo have to go. sorry but it just looks weird.

 

Yeah, the header doesn't really appeal to me. I think the font is boring and there is a lot of dead space there that could be used. A larger font may work. I would tone down the outlining a bit as well.

 

thanks for the comments and suggestions guys - i made the header smaller, changed the font a bit, and lightened the watermark. i also added some ads for a potential customer...

I think the banner looks much better now. I'm still not real crazy about the font, but it is easy to read so that is good. Some people can get carried away with free fonts that they find at sites like dafont.com. Good job overall.

 

Completely eliminate the NPZ thing.

if i ever run across a site with that many ads... i am signing the owner up for porn spam like a mad man. that's way to many ads imho.
