But one suggestion :
if you want to make your forum as a social platform,Use PhpBB, MyBB or VBulletin instead of vanilla..

 

I do have one created with simple machines forum www.bigcommercestation.com/forums and one created with phpBB but this forum is mostly liked by our users.
