I did have it down between the header and the content, but didn't think it looked as good. Would you recommend that I put it where I had it?
Nice site. I would move your subscribe over to the side (switch with the picture of the dude in the hat) as it sort of takes focus away from your content and ads (i think).
I actually thought about that a few times. I'll experiment a little bit with this when I get some time. I think if I did what you're saying I would probably have to get rid of the "with taylor thompson" text because that next to the title of my site would simply be too crammed. Still, great tips and I will have to try it out when I get the chance.
I agree with this point. I went to look for the subscribe button and I automatically went to the top right corner to find a header picture and text. Whilst it looks good, it would be better to shift it to the right.
True, the subscribe button is the first that jumps into the sight. It's almost bigger than your site name/logo. The logo could be improved. The word "video" looks good, but the "Blogging Tips" has a very standard bevel and emboss efect. I think that with a bit of experimenting in Photoshop you can improve it. Maybe try to make the word "Video" as wide as the "blogging tips (just a tought).

since the site has your name all over it, i'd put a little bio info in the about section. will build trust between you and the reader.

nice site - nice layout. great traffic, too. I suggest using wordpress and your own web hosting solution. It will allow you to greatly enhance you design, adding a myriad of functions.
Alright. So I have taken much advice from you guys here at D.P. and am greatly appreciating it. I still haven't changed my "Video Blogging Tips" text because i don't really know what to change it to. However, I did move my subscription area to the right, and I did change the text of my name and add in the "it's kind of like Netflix" text. What do you guys think now? PS: I hear you on the Wordpress however, I just don't have the time or money to learn a new thing right now.
Yeah Talyor, that is a major improvement. I too suggest wordpress, however if you don't have the time to make the switch and blogspot works for you, then why change? Best of Luck
In terms of longevity I would say that you are better off with a Wordpress template rather than blogger simply because it is so much easier to comment, etc. with Wordpress, but that is your choice. In terms of overall appearance I think you would be better off moving the 125x125's into a vertical formation that draws less attention away from the content. Ads should mesh, not distract.
