Review my Haunted Castles

I have a new web site about haunted castles in Scotland, Ireland and Wales. Please review most haunted castles and tell me what you think of it.

nice website, slow loading times, IMHO your website will looks nicer without those crowded tags, maybe you can place other information on that instead of tags..

 

good quality - content on the front page should reflect the haunted nature of the castles rather than generic copy. Good site. best of luck

 

Thanks for the review! I reduced on tags and removed the tag cloud. Changed a couple of other things as well. Would be happy if looked at Most Haunted Castles again

Looks really good! It is slow for loading though, I assume it will be due to plugins or something...

I like what you've done, but I find that this theme is so over used.

 

spooky images there. i've also use wordpress heatmap theme like yours and i think it has the option to hide the tag Categories in every post. it looks messy actually when its not hidden

 

Black ground is so hard to read, especially with such small font. I always prefer white background and black text. Loves all the images, but didn't read any of your copy. Not even your sub headings jumped out at me when doing a quick scan.

I think the black is fine. I expected black since it fits the topic.

I don't know if you are hoping to rely on Google traffic, but I would try to find ways to get "most haunted castles" on the front page. Google wants to see it more to help you get ranked higher.

I have just tried hidding the details, which is possible using the Heatmap theme as you have pointed out. However, I found that it looks better "as is". Thanks!

Checking toningt on Google.com I found that my site is at the bottom of the first page in Google. I guess in a little bit of time it will rank number 1. Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback. In fact there are more articles planned, so if visit my site from time to time you won't be disappointed. As you may have noticed does the site only displays haunted castles in Scotland, Ireland and Wales for the time being. The haunted castles in England are to be found on the sister site haunted places in England. I just mention it because you said you love haunted stories.

It looks great - though I still think it's a tad busy with all the links, perhaps you could switch your top right adsense unit from text to image. Just a personal preference.

Also, notice you're only using adsense for the most part - you should consider setting up an affiliate account with Expedia or similar and post nearby hotels and accommodation, another great revenue stream for this type of site.
