I have just finished another phase on my game, it was a Flappy Bird clone, but - I got sick of that damn bird! and besides Flappy Bird is now over saturated & there's hundreds of crap clones that are damaging the market... This one is titled FlappyVille! To play: Jump into the game here: Click to play: FlappyVille! The flapping/flying is not the same as Flappy Bird, there's no need to bash the screen or tap, tap, tap, you can hold down your mouse button for up to 2 seconds to get more air time - this is handy... or alternatively if you're on a mobile device you can use touch, the longer you hold the touch - the higher Maryo Ghost will fly. Click the Start Sign in game to begin. To Do: I still have to add sound effects to the map, might even add a pointer to help navigate to each check point/level. Have to add some ad's. Incorporate the game as an app for Facebook, add a save button & some kind of scoring system to have high scores. Might even add a system for user names/players. I'm just after some motivation, some beta testers to check for bugs & advice - take it easy on me... this is my first large game lol. Unlike the other Flappy Birds - this one has taken me a few weeks, was built from scratch & not cloned. Images aren't mine either... I purchased some & used some from an open source game. Oh, and never mind the actual site - I haven't had time to work on that side of things & if you hit quit (in game), you will be taken to my the old format of navigation - I didn't like it that way though. Cheers Guys!
Looks very interesting and actually I played for 10 mins, here is my input - 1. is the font size meant for mobiles ? as on laptop, it looks way too lower resolution 2. sound looks perfectly fine though after completing training, I wasn't sure what to do as the game didn't moved. also Just wondering, how did you made the game ? what technology stack you are using ?
It should direct you straight back to the map, then you just click the next circle on the path. Yeah, it's made for 480 x 640. So it is enlarged a fair bit, it's kind of like a pixel font, so it's kind of deliberate to. I'm using construct 2.
look site Good but logo not Good dear please create a new Good logo dear then your Site look more Good ,
Do you mean the title on top of the map? I have made that smaller, the actual box, and I have added some arrows to point to next check point/level. Can't change it to much as it updates with each levels text etc.
I want to edit this, but I think it may bump it? Both options are combined? Anyway, I've updated the game: Here's the online version: http://flappyville.com/Online/index.html Here's the index page for the site, just started working on it: http://www.flappyville.com/ Game updates: I changed the title size & the associated frame/border. Arrows/pointers have been added to assist in navigation. Created a quick splash screen when player hits quit. Incorporated some in game ad's. Here's a new screenie:
The new editions were a novelty, very rough in graphics etc. Was a little interest in the new games, I also updated the template to suit. As normal though, I get bored of my creations & start to see flaws, if they don't take off or the campaign proves to be crap, I move on to a new game. The next one is more polished & heaps better, I am getting better as I move along. Thanks for your comments man!
It is a very cool game but it needs some variation. All the objects a pretty much in the same spot...
Seems really nice and I love the fact that even 404 pages allow you to play a game - makes me want to not leave the 404 page LOL! Well done in putting in the extra steps to even make 404 pages nice!
Uhm, seems like quite a fun idea to keep people longer on your website when they reach a broken link. Liked the game, to bad I never made it past 4 .
Grrrrrr! I never liked the original and this one is just as difficult! lol I'm easily frustrated! Nicely done.
