Review my free online classified ad website

I launched this a few months ago, and I've had some feedback, but I'm looking for unbiased feedback. Please be constructive.

Your site's www and none www version both work. Only one should work. Add a favicon too. Next time, try to write the code from the scratch, that's when you get the real traffic. Best of luck.

 

Your site is good. i have also posted an ad of my business. But in it user only post ads of USA business not for other countries. One is the good thing is the it provides a link in post other site do not give. In your site user can post own ads without creating a account that is the another positive point of your website.

 

Too much simple layout for me. Increase font size and don't keep too much gap between columns. You could add one or two pics, and borders/shadows for divs to bring some life to design. Look at this green boxes in digitalpoint.

 

I think its too simple..the fonts, the bg..the colours , and try to think about another logo, maybe another font (and never use an image like BG to any font or text...it was common about 10, 15 years ago...nowdays the rule is minimalism, fonts without shadows, etc)

 

make fonts little more big, fonts are small. And change the white background it's not suitable with eyes

 

Color combination is looking good but you should have font size little bigger and have a better logo for your site to make your site more attractive

You can improve site by using bigger buttons (with animated gif images) for Left Panel.

I like the simplicity and the font size. Too big and you have to do a lot of scrolling up and down.

Craigslist isn't exactly the most attractive looking site but it doesn't do too badly.

I posted an ad - the process was easy and fast. One small point - would it be possible to post site wide instead of having to pick a very specific location?

 

Too much white space and too much scrolling.Limited to USA only. :-(

 

Are you suggesting a worldwide site? Give him a chance to grow in the US first.

I agree with you. The website is too simple. Look for other templates that is not too boring for your visitors. Give them reason to stay longer to your site.

 

Cannot agree with you. If you have too many unrelated things on your site it's difficult to find what you want. It's no good keeping your visitors on the site while they get frustrated and angry because they can't find what they want.

 

Sorry Paul, I hadn't checked this in awhile. I went with specific regions to encourage users to post in their area. The layout is simple because classifieds are supposed to be simple and clean. I am re-working the colors and logo, but the basic layout is staying the same.

 

Is there any problem if www and non www both works?
