Started in April, and merged with another site called GamingGuru.org, which I have the domain but not using at the moment.

I'm not sure about using black as your dominant color. Try using brighter colors.
Also, work on the logo.

Yeah, there's too much black that it has ruined the text contrast and readability.

The logo definitely needs some improvement.

 

I totally agree with the previous comments...
The total black look and the logo are somewhat inadequate.

 

Same comments here, the black isn't good. Try a dark grey background if you don't want to completely change your theme and white text to increase readability.
+ Try getting a vector logo or a cleaner one

I checked out your forum and I like the rest here would suggest lightening the color up. I would pick an adsense ad with a background color more like the background used on your forum but not the black.

 

Nice simple forum, but the banner could do with a little improvement.

 

I have two themes.

After taking in your comments, I have changed it to the lighter one. Opinions on it?
