Review My Forum *PLEASE*

Alright I just installed a brand new skin, and a lot of mods, I also just recently placed adsense...

All I need now is members

Its a brand new forum, maybe just a couple months old

Any ideas for me..

I'm completely open to criticism..

I want To get better..

I would also like maybe a couple ideas on how to get members..

Any help is appreciated..

Nice skin! For your ad link color, try green text instead (like what you have in there) it'll stand out more yet still blend in

Well I am working on that, but im not quite sure, it was a general forums before, but i decided there are way to many of those already..

Any ideas..

 

This is a question to yourself.
Talk about something that you yourself have a passion to talk about. Give it your own character because it'll be much more interesting that way.

If you like girls, make it a forum to talk about girls to start off. If you like money, talk about money. If you like video games, talk about games... need any more ideas ;-) ?

If others give you a topic which may be very popular, but you have no passion, don't do it.. because you cannot sustain it in your forum and it'll die.

 

I don't like scrolling text, it gets annoying and is not professional.

And If I where you Id choose another colour for the blue links, they seem to be a bit hard to read. Make them stand out more.

Good. This is the first step. Then you should go and look at other forums who's doing the girls talk. What topics are hot now... put some posts over there and mix around, see why the users like that forum.

Implement those things back in your forum, maybe it's the way they orgainize their threads, colour scheme, mod etc. Make your forum better than the other forums in some way. Start some interesting threads, copy some interesting news, get some posters to warm up the place.

Then make more posts to the other forums to introduce your new forums, and invite those users to come, give comments etc. Good luck.
