Hi this theme take from me alot of time form customization and fixing some problem etc here my blog design link http://ink-light.zxq.net/blog/ any suggestion will be welcome
i voted need a lot of work but after really looking at it, i think mainly you just need to fix the background. also, i would probably change the color of the text on the header. make it "pop" more. the color is too closely related to the header background. maybe make it white.
i make few changes to the theme please review it again and change the server too see it here http://ink-light.tk/blog/ unfortunately i can't change the first
The top looks great, maybe add some pictures or graphics to the lower content, because it doesn't really draw the eye.
thanks for advice I'll look for appropriate photo for the first post ..and if you mean the footer I'll will find another design because it look too regular now .. In fact I design the banner first when I complete the whole design I notice that ...I should make it more simpler ... I'll work on another Design soon .. and I have to ideas for that design first is sharp colored template and the second is news template .. any one can advice me for first step for both ideas .
the banner is blur, make it sharp, and in footer, the text is not readable, and background color is not good. Overall i like this template
Okay Ill give you my honest opinion. The body BG, looks like wht you would call (in css terms) the "wrapper" bumped down aprox 75px from the top. I think with all you have going on iys kind of pointles unles you have a graphic behind it, jus t align it to the top. Also the nav bar just doesnt "feel" right above the slideshow, perhaps drop it under and change the location of the words on the slideshow to the top. Im not wild about the color pallet, or perhaps its just the way it was used.Having the square block of color that matchs the content area under the "splashes:" that constitute the header tags on the sidebar do not look good. Why not just make the splashes that color and the text color the brighter one. Also seems that the color matching from the curves on the content header dont exactly blend with the actual BG color. While not a huge deal, still noticeable.
I not notice that because my scree resolution are 1024*768 and background have 1024px height .I fix it and make it aligned to the top i make the margin value before adding the slideshow . i reset the value now .. usually headlines prefer to be brighter to make more attention and the text under it use body text color ... any way I add the categories list to nav bar ..you can revie it from here http://ink-light.tk/blog
I think the colors are harmonious, it draws my attention away from the content as well as the torn edge effect. A torn edge would be fine but the one you use in the theme, are like 1 inch saw blades, its a little distracting but the layout and presentation of menus and post is fine.
It cloud be the contents font color and size give you that feel ..anyway i change th font size because it was look smaller then sidebar font .. I make the torn edge Using inkscape and I want it to be unique design ..to give the design some kind of windily look ...
It terms of overall user-friendliness, it fails horrendously. This is mainly referring to sheer amount of unused space in the post area and the gaps in between all the posts. Basically the layout needs to be completely redone in this area. As for the design, it pretty much needs to be repolished. I suggest avoid the use of so much 'torn' edges, it feels overdone. And reduce the radius of the rounded edges, it's way too much atm.
