I have spent about 6 months in all planning on the release if this and the 4 other sites that will go together with it.

My ultimate goal is to build a whole community by using all the top level domains for a different aspect. When finished it will hopefully be an online gaming community. The first site is a flash arcade site, I am not finished with it yet, but I did decide to go ahead and start it off with over 4,000 games to choose from then add from there.

The first site which is a flash arcade is Gam3r2.TV.

What are your thoughts on this and should there be any color changes etc. I know it is dark, I went ahead with the colors #101010, #FF9900 and #00CCFF for the main colors with only slight variations in between.

The next site I released was the MMORPG Topsite which follows the same color schemes as the color schemes are actually based on the phpFox template I decided to go with. The topsite can be found at Gam3r2.NET.

I decided to go with the AV Arcade script for the flash game site and I also went ahead and bought the big game pack for it. Then for the topsite I chose to use Aardvark Topsites as I had a chance to play with the other scripts out there and I have to say that the free topsite script has more features.

I have also started a MMORPG development blog at Gam3r2.INFO but I have not touched it yet since I have been too busy with the topsites and the flash arcade. I will get around to finishing the modification to the template later. The Gam3r2.ORG domain will be used for a MMORPG game site owner's forum using vBulletin, but I am waiting to save up the money to purchase the script. This site will be a revenue sharing forum for talking about online game development. I figure if I am building stuff for the game players I have to make something for the site owners as well, the revenue sharing will be very helpful as well. The final site to be launched is also the most expensive and needs the other sites up and running as a means to push traffic there. The last site will be a community based on phpFox, and of course the theme I already chose for the site is what I am basing the other sites on.

I look forward to all of the opinions and critique.

    WorldWide

P.S. Oh, I forgot to mention that I decided to go with Media Temple as a host, I am starting off on the grid server (gs) plan but hope to move up to a dedicated virtual server (dv) as soon as I can afford it. I also maxed out my database connections on my hosting plan yesterday so I upgraded to the database container plan, the 128MB one, modified the maximum number of simulataneous connections and have not had anymore problems.

I looked at the .tv site. I think the color scheme is fine but I had a bit of trouble reading the main header graphic. The font for gam3r2 is a little complicated to read and doesn't really stick in my head as a "brand". Furthermore, the glow on the "4000 free online games" tag is a little strong and makes it a little blurred to read. Otherwise, looks great and I look forward to playing some of your games.

    Best of luck. :)

I agree - your branding needs work. I also think you'd have more success with a better branded domain. gam3r2 is hard to read, hard to remember. Why did you go with a .tv domain?

I was unaware of the av arcade script, thanks for the link. However, if this site uses a script + a cheap gamepack, then what is your angle to differentiate your self from everyone else doing the same thing as you?
