This is my first time making a site but be as honest as you can any criticism will help

Good job.

 

I like the design and it have nice content but i advice to change your add placement and colors.

 

Green links on the right are difficult for me to read.

Pay someone to make you a logo. Some inexpensive services are offered on DP.

Blend your ads better.

Lose the giant "your ad here". Its ugly, plus it goes to the horrible phpmailscript page. A link in meta should do if you think its necessary.

Write about them. Give a link to where I can buy them if available. Use Amazon affiliate links if they have them. Otherwise, just link to someplace that offers them, even if you don't have an affiliate account with them.

Add a link to the movie trailer.

Why am I lookin at an album cover? Write about it. Link to where I can buy it.

The same can be said for the rest. Write about why I am looking at an image. Be intuitive about what people will want after reading an article. Link to relevant content. Add links to buy relevant products and use affiliate links when available. Make the most of the content. Write original content.

nice looking site everything seemed fine here.

 

Nice Site. However, blend your ads with the background. Change the width of your ads. Also, the colour of the links at the sidebar makes it different to read.
Lastly, the word 'forums' seem to be part of the header of the site. It does not entice people to click on it. Maybe you could add in nav bar for that purpose.

 

I like the color and the typography, I think you just need a better blending of Google ads.

 

I like your content. you could use more colours and graphics, its a bit dull for a hip hop website imo.

I think it needs a bit more structure and concise flow. It might be worth finding a few CSS template and developing from there within a framework.

 

not to sound a lil-know-it-all guru here.. but just to blurt out about the download links... i think it would be a lil more convenient for the visitors to just click on it as a link instead of copying the whole dowload link displayed and pasting in their browser...

and since you've been linking them to some download sites for intellectual thingies.. you might as well consider coming up with a disclaimer page.. just to be safe...

and google adsense is a lil bit off with the "blue borders"... i suggest to blend it with the other existing thumbs ads you have below it...

it's a good site.. looking forward to seeing it grow more...

 

you should use other color for the right side links, and other font size for the
the heading text(pages, categories) and maybe other color too, so it would match the rest of the site.
