aussie-pythons.com Code (markup): I've only just started learning about SEO. This is my first SEO project. Can someone please give me some pointers? About the on-site SEO and the article on the site (it's the first one I've added so far) Thanks.
Hey, another thing, I'm worried that the page might not load for some people/countries. Can you tell me if it loads for you?
Yeah it is. Nope, I've installed something called WP SEO Sniper instead, it has some extra features that All in One SEO package didn't.
As you are learner, you have to gone through Google and find the tutorial material for SEO knowledge. Keep it up.
It looks good, but I think you have two "meta description" in your source code, double check it... And since we are on the topic, what extra features does "WP SEO Sniper" have, that "All in One SEO" don't have? I am interested to know
Some thoughts I have when looking at your site: 1. Why are the titles of your 3 posts populating into the top navigation? Once you have a lot of posts I don't think this will be a good user experience. It's more expected to see a link such as "About this site" to describe why you are building this site. 2. 2 of the 3 posts have titles that include a pipe (|). This isn't a good user experience - it makes it difficult to understand what the post is really about. If you are trying to include relevant keywords for your posts, you should first pick the best keyphrase to be the title. Then, link between the posts with the secondary keyphrases. Finally, you can use all versions of the keyphrases once in the body of your posts. That should optimize for user experience & search engines. You are doing pretty well though, at least the first post is indexed!
The website loads fine in US I am just confused why you would choose to practice your SEO skills on aussie-pythons when the non-dash domain is a successful forum website, unless the snakes are your passion it seems like your efforts have a better chance of being rewarded on a different project.
