Review My First Layout

Hey Guys. I wanted to see what you would think of this layout. It's one for a proxy site/proxy directory. It will have an embedded proxy on it. Just want to get your thoughts on this. This is made completely using the bgcolor="" code. I plan to make buttons later if you guys think it's good. It's my first one (That's actually more or less finished) so don't be too harsh, but be honest.

ok.. change the colors so they dont contrast to much, as the blue hurts your eyes a little, make the edges curved not squared. add something else in rather than plain flat colors, maybe a gradient.. or a cool effect in the header... im not sure. hope this helpes

 

Colours you have used do not mix well in my opinion.Mitcharr adviced you to
use gradients and I have to agree too.Simplicity is always good but mixing
colours is an art.May i ask if you are a beginner?I am too...anyway good luck!

i dont like the red color on it try something different for it

 

am really sorry to disappoint you but the combination of colors that you've chosen is totally mad. They don't even match with each other. otherwise the structure of the panels is fine. Try to choose some other colors.

 

fonts-got to change that--use 'verdana' maybe
color--really need to change that immediately.ok.

It's way too plain.. try adding graphic elements to the layout using photoshop. Add some glossy and gradients!

 

deffinitly too plain and color scheme is no good. take a look at this site kuler.adobe.com to find a nice color scheme. Also, some graphics may help.

 

Hmmm. I guess it was too plain. And can't do nothing about the colors. How about this one? Same site, diffrent template. (It's probably even worse. I just put it together in like 30 minutes)

well that one is easier on the eyes, but u should make text smaller. add a gradient or some effects

 

Try a darker red... Bright reds are tooooo bright for site and I agree with the previous post use verdana. Verdana comes out better on websites, much more clear and crisp.... I use Vendana for most site, sometimes I use different ones for graphics....

 

The combination of colors is not well chosen.

 

change the bgcolor="" to img src="" in my opinion it needs graphics. not just colors.

 

It's a bit to plain and simple. It is like USA in a box. Make gradients and change the colors around!

No,do not sit in a corner crying.Try again and improve your skills.If you are
here asking for review and taking seriously pozitive critics your future work
will be better.Remember:mix colours,play with them,use gradients,visual

Thanks. It was more of a joke though. Im actually working on another version of this as we speak. Like i said before, gradients and I just don't click. I can do so much with photo manipulation, but creating images from scratch is much more difficult..all that imagination stuff is lacking for me, and im only 16 lol

 

mm, that new one is better.. but. make the rectangles rounded, it is more appealing. and also. make the red things so you cannot see them on top of the grey boxes
