    I like the color scheme. Just add a good logo (mascot logo) to decrease the blank spaces feeling.

    I like the soft color combo that you did... work out a good logo with that green in it and add some more content but its a good start...

    Depending on the purpose of the site, I would make the color lighter. I like the fact that you hve your social network sites upfront.
