Hey guys, I'm in my first week of marketing. I've been doing well with my site as it uses magento and I've been adding a ton of products. The main thing is, if you look at all my content. It is fresh, 100% unique, hand written. My site is getting around 30 people a day , 7-10 are from google. Well check out my site http://yourvaporizers.com also check out the blog http://yourvaporizers.com/blog/ Please give honest reviews and tell me what you think.
Some may disagree, but I think the site doesn't look well organized. I wouldn't call it messy, but it borderlines with being somewhat messy. I would definitely remove the little banners from the bottom of your index page (the ones that say: Limited time! Deals! Sales!). I don't get the point of having them there. They only contribute to making your index page look messy. Also, I don't think you need that little slider on the index pages either (the one that shows the brand names of the products). What is it for? When I click on the brand names they just take me to the top of your index page. I understand that you wanted your logo to look like it's vaporizing, but I don't think it helps the overall look of your site. I'd definitely change the logo. I don't want you to think I am full of negativity here. Overall, I like the design and the site's functionality.
Hi, Agree with above, the logo looks bad. It does not look professional at all. For the eCommerce site, the overall look is fine for me. However, you can improve on the slideshow image design. It looks a bit out of place and amateur. In the navigation, the product overlapping each other. (eg. pen) In the bottom part (request our 2014 catalog and etc), the hover does not work quite right. For the blog, maybe you can change from 3 columns to 2 columns. It looks too messy. In the footer, remove facebook in the moment because there is no social icons added. Maybe move some elements from 1 of the columns to footer, it looks too empty. In conclusion, overall design looks fine but there are a lot of tiny tiny things to fix. Anyway, wish you have a great sale!
+ social marketing + blog - DONT use red colour on price. Research show that with price highlited in green are much more attractive. - Menus should be on the left side, much more userfriendly. - Sorting "accesories" with brand. Whats up with that? - Bad graphic work. (products, logo, ads)
My oppinion : 1. On product page the position of add to cart button is not good because it needs to be in the upper-right side. Why : because on about 90% of the websites the button is there and the user will search it there. 2. The add to cart button needs to be more visible. How can u do that : make the button bigger and another color. A color that is not used on the website and that is standing out. 3. On categories , i clicked on a product on add to card and it redirrected me on the product page and the product was not added to my cart. I expected that Add To Cart means - Add to Cart. 4. From my experience ( I am a online store owner for about 2 years ) i recommend for a better conversion, add to cart to redirrect to order page. This point it can be commented. Is just my oppinion. 5. I added a product to cart and was not added to cart. I use Chrome ( latest version ) I wanted to continue the review of the order process but i was not able to because the products were not added to cart. All i have written above is my oppinion and i hope i didn`t wanted to upset you. Also , i think that the general feeling ( design ) of the website is ok but the logo really needs to be changed.
Wow, outstanding reviews guys!! This is why I post here, honest hard nosed feedback is the best feedback in my book. I made the site myself and designed that and I'm no where near a pro. Perhaps it is time to fix some of the problems I'm not able to do, some require programming. Do you guys recommend an affordable programmer/website designer? I honestly think you guys have all given the most accurate reviews I've seen in a while. Time to go to work!
Changed to green, changed some icons. Working on everything you are mentioning. Only thing I'm going to stay put is the menu location, verticle will have to work. Yes the menu where I have products for pen category are out of place, definitely aware of that. I don't know how to fix it is the problem but Im willing to hire someone who has the skills to fine tune my site.
I try Magento before. For me, it is really complicated. So I believe that I cant help you on this. Maybe you can find someone to help you in DP services section.
Dont use different fonts on slideshow pictures, looks very unprofessional. Also im wondering why you are sorting accesories after brands? Me personly dont know any of those brands. Maybe sort categories after items?
I dont get what you mean? Sorting accessories after brands? I haven't added accessories yet. If you knew the vaporizer business, you'd know I have all the most popular vaporizers in the world. Just do a Google Search.
As always, evil editor warning: blunt opinion, no offense intended. Horrible logo. And that HUUUUUUUUGE graphic slider rubbish on the homepage... what? Why are you wasting ALL your above-the-fold space with a bunch of useless imagery (which makes the page over 3Mb in size)? Only 4 products on the homepage? What's your focus here - images or sales? OMG, horrible enormous pop-down menu nonsense! Twitch the mouse and get a seizure for free! All those "Deals!" and "Sales!" banners are confusing, too: what deal, what sale? Are they clickable? Do they only apply to a product? Why are there three of them? Why don't the "New arrivals", "Daily Deals" and "Kits of the Week" titles do anything? What's that weird-ass mini-slider doing there? All in all, the whole place is confusing. I wouldn't know where to begin to look for anything at all - there's too much rubbish taking up space and the five or six different navigation areas just make everything hard to manage. Edit: the blog is even worse - so much wasted space with stupid imagery, pointless colours, disorganised stuff spewed all over, pseudo-artsy-fartsy slider rubbish and spinning wobbly things that I want to stab myself in the eyes rather than try to navigate to an article. Blogs are supposed to be something to read, not something to blind.
Hi I think your site looks good. Just follow a few tips this people are giving you and it will be fine good luck.
Ohh Man! that's a tough one. If i were you, i would just re-design a whole site. Go to the bottom and think what you want to achieve, think about the concept. There are too many flaws, 1. Too many promotions, delivery banners and windows, what is your aim on this? 2. Imagery, image quality is just not there. you should have a good images with large resolution as people have larger screen nowadays and sharp, more professional. 3. Fonts, lack of consistency there, you change fonts all the time. In the Kits category your have different icons or Index page - Our service on the left sides. 4. Logo, yes you need re-design it. 5. Sub-pages, titles are not positioned well there. 6. Too many sliders, they are everywhere 7. Links do not work, "request our catalog", etc. 8. Problem with content positioning all over the place. Go to beginning, take off the page from internet. As the first impression is key one and it scares people away. Good luck with this!
first thing i saw was ur homepage looks bit messy. (not really messy. but this kind of messiness makes me dont want to trust your site very well) and second thing is your logo. ur logo doesnt look good at all. and third thing . try to design your slide shows bit more professional. (lttle bit cleaner). ur slide shows look very poor quality. by seeing these 3 things makes dont really want to trust your site. (would be little bit unsure to buy products) these are all i gota say. and one additional thing can be the color of your theme. but it doesnt look that bad and I would really say to change it. but i think it would be better to try different color.
Hahahah, thanks. I've been getting a lot of sales though so I guess people find what they want pretty easy. I'll look into changing the logo's and CTA banners. It would be better if you posted a screenshot to explain everything. The sliders are fine, im not changing them. Links don't need to work for "request our catalog" The best thing is to link it would be to the contact page righT? Content positioning is being fixed, I've been hiring people. I'm no designer, I'm pure SEO and I guess I proved I could make money with a shitty design, LMFAO!! Thanks, I'll increase the resolution. I decreased it cause my site is super slow!!!
I made the logo for @Johnuno11 . Hope everyone likes it better than the old one. I tried to make it simple , black&white like the rest of the website is. The logo was not payed because i made it free just to help.
