In a word - its a general directory and theres loads just like it out there. You need to branch out and be a little more unique - specifically in terms of the design of the directory. The phpLD template your using is one of the more popular ones out there! Take a look around, do some googling and you'll find quite a few sites that offer quite a range of free templates. Alternatively really push the boat out and get a template custom built.
