Hi Friends, Please Review my Directory Site and give me your value feedback. And also give me your valuable feedback to improve my website and traffic. My URL: http://www.addurlsubmissions.com
I like the clouds. The black background is a bit much; perhaps you could fade it out somewhat as it gets closer to the top/clouds. That might lighten the whole page a bit. Most of the dark sites I've seen have been game sites; not "mature" sites. My first impression was that there was nothing on the page but Google ads. Eventually, I saw the links and clicked on Arts & Humanities, then on the Art History link. My Malwarebytes jumped up and wouldn't let me get to the site. You might want to check all your links and make sure they are, in fact, viable and not malicious. Because everything looks the same, it appears to be all ads, so I would suggest doing something to differentiate the links from the ads; color, size, anything. And your banner is another ad - all of which are designed to take people away from your site rather than drive traffic to it. Think about creating a banner that is yours rather than having an ad as a banner. And make some boxes, or move the text around so everything doesn't line up and look like a page full of ads. It's too confusing for the reader. Your page tells us nothing about what the site is intended to do, to represent, or anything. It needs some personality - your personality - something to make people want to come and visit, and stay awhile. Lots to do still. For one thing, clarify for the reader the purpose of the site. What kind of site is it? What can I expect to find or learn there? Why would I even stop in? Keep working on it - you've made a good start.
I like the theme but that Google banner still is the first thing people see to click on - and it takes them away from your site. If you can start YOUR content first and put that ad lower on the page, like just above the fold (even though I prefer below the fold), at least you would have a better chance of keeping people on the site. Another suggestion is to have that link open in a new tab/window rather than on the same page. I closed the tab and then realized I had closed the site. If your customers do the same thing, you've lost them.
I am always concerned why the first thing to catch you eye takes you away from the website. the banner ad was intriguing and a visitor would most likely follow the ad. Now that might seem like a great idea because you get paid (once), but the visitor is not likely to comeback. So you will always have to depend on new visitors and not repeat visitors
