I wanted to create a small, basic, but appealing competition to attract some high quality members. The competition is here: http://www.thebarterforum.com/competitions-forum/ I just wondered what people thought? It might not be $1,000 cash, but it's a start Thanks in advance.
Hi, That's a great idea to get forum posters and barter products from retailers etc. Bodybuilding.com does something similar, where they hold contests for users where they pick a topic and the user with the best article about the topic gets free stuff. In return bodybuilding gets about 10 good articles for their site and great user interaction. I can see this idea working the same way. I think you could be on to something good.
Hi, Thanks for the input. Haven't had people really enter yet, but will see what happens over the weekend.
Hi - I think it should work to get posts, my only passing concern might be that members that are able to provide useful, well written posts, may not have as much of a need for content writing services, so it may be a little coals to newcastle. I could also be terribly wrong - just sharing a thought.
Hi CJWeaver, Well the main target audience is online businesses etc, so I'm hoping it will. Maybe I should change it to $25.00 in cash or $35 of content writing services? But then I'll just get logging in that don't even like business etc? ?
