http://stockphotobase.com/ Please be as honest as possible. It is VERY new... And not populated yet. There's only a small handful of images on there. All images are taken by myself or hired photographers so are 100% unique. Improvements welcomed etc. Thanks a lot.
Not bad. But I think that images on the frontpage are to big. You may need to make them smaller and increase number of various images that will be displayed on the frontpage. That's just my thoughts...
Cheers. I want that big bit to showcase some of the best images. At the moment, I've just thrown a few on there to show what it does etc. But plan to get some better images. I've made it as big as it is so people can see the quality up close etc. I will consider adding more to the bottom bit. Thanks for that. Cheers dvncfll01. Appreciate it mate.
It looks fine, I wouldn't have any problems buying a picture from your website. I guess that the hard work will be to have people find your website and find the pictures that they want to buy. Personally, I don't like tag could navigation. If I'm looking for a picture, I will use a search form and hope to find the picture there. I don't really care about what is popular. I would also look at the picture detail page "template"... There is no search box there Also, the "next" and "previous" doesn't remember the search I made, it just browse through all the pictures. I should have a way to get back at my search results. I think that the logo could be better. All in all, I think it's a really good start! Good luck to you
Personally I hate watermarks, but I know why they are there. So get some watermarks. Stockphoto and deviantart have the perfect watermarks. I noticed you're using wordpress Merrik makes a great watermark plugin. Second, ditch the free noads stats, and get with the goodle analytics, for histats if you don't like them, and hide the stat tickers. those things are not professional looking at all. Keep at it! You're doing good though. And large previews can be a good thing...
You have nice collection of the images and theme of your site is good , i would say you should use more categories in yoru site and attract more customers
I like it the site is simple and very easy to use. Things I personally think should be added: -A New Logo something a bit more proffesional -A Navigation Bar ... I had a little confusion getting back to the home page. -Search Suggestions (via jquery or ajax) -Maybe a Lightbox Image viewer. I would suggest putting better Watermarks on the images or people are like to remove them very easily (especially graphic designers) If I come up with anything else I will let you know, RATE: 7/10 (mainly because of lack of Navigation Bar)
Hi, Your premium photo site is nice. You can add thumbnail photos at the main page featuring the latest photos you've added or the most popular ones. I'm sure you can fill it up with lots of photos someday.
Regarding a few points made. Logo is temporary whilst I populate the site. Will be hiring someone to make one that's decent and one that fits in. Navigation Bar will be added with basic links, like home, login/logout, register, FAQ, Price. ETC. Will be adding a search box/bar to EVERY page on the site. The Merrik Watermark Plugin didn't work. No header error on WP. But have got Watermarks sorted. Again thanks. Anyone with more suggestions are welcomed Thanks for the suggestions
Looks like you're off to a nice start. I saw 2 images that I would buy. But I didn't go further because I didn't see any indication whether you accepted PayPal or not. I'm not sure your logo makes a strong enough impression. I'd expect a jazzier / bolder logo statement from a site that's all about visual eye-candy. I also would take the word "the" out of the header. Since that word isn't in your URL, it might help your URL be more memorable to just make your header read "STOCK PHOTO BASE."
its pretty good. there are many pics with black background. try to mange the pics in an attractive manner
It looks elegant and simple straight to the point ( which is good ). All you need is the share buttons and marketing. And perhaps you might cut back the thumbnails display 1 or 2 lines of, is too big for a main page, most ppl wont scroll down in mainpages. Good luck with your website!
