    The design is nice but there are a few ways to improve it.

    Number one you need a better resolution header. Its pixilated.
    Number two you should remove the blue border from aruond your adsense spots. It will blend better with your content and provide better conversion rates
    Last but not least I think the margins for the page is too small. Try widening them some, probably something like 800x600.

    Other then that its a nice original design. I like the back ground alot.

    Well, it's kind a clean and yes I think you really need to improve more on your header.

    And also, have you tried using WordPress CMS? If not I think you should try it.

    The graphics in the header is pixelated you should redesign the header, for seo
    purposes you should reduce the length of the title, the title is way to long.

    The banner is distorted. Also I suggest you use Word Press. You need to put some more content on there as well. If you need some help let me know. I can set up blogs and also SEO them. Just some things that could help you out.
