If I look at it on my older monitors it looks nice but on my new monitors with a high resolution I can hardly read the text, are you sure about the grey?? Love the banner though
It's a little bland, the colors should be changed so there is a better contrast between the background and the text.

It's ok. Content is not unique and I'd rather read google news or bbc. find an interesting news story and give us your own take on it which will add something that I can't find on the many sites that feature the same articles as you.
