Upon reviewing the website Bloggershook, several areas have been identified that could benefit from enhancements to improve user experience, SEO performance, and overall site effectiveness. Below is a detailed audit highlighting these areas:

    1. SEO Optimization

    Meta Tags and Headings

    • Meta Descriptions: Many pages lack unique and compelling meta descriptions, which are crucial for click-through rates from search engine results.
    • Heading Structure: The use of heading tags (H1, H2, etc.) is inconsistent. Proper heading hierarchy is essential for SEO and user readability.
    Image Optimization
    • Alt Text: Images on the site often lack descriptive alt text, which is important for SEO and accessibility.
    • File Sizes: Some images are not optimized for web use, leading to slower page load times.
    Internal Linking
    • Link Structure: Some internal links are broken or lead to irrelevant pages, which can negatively impact SEO and user navigation.

    2. User Experience (UX) and Design
    Navigation

    • Menu Structure: The main menu is simple but lacks depth. Adding dropdowns or mega menus could improve user navigation, especially for returning visitors.
    Mobile Responsiveness
    • Mobile Optimization: While the site is generally responsive, certain elements do not adjust well on smaller screens, affecting usability on mobile devices.
    Call-to-Action (CTA)
    • Visibility: CTAs such as "Subscribe" or "Read More" are not prominently displayed, potentially reducing user engagement.
    • Placement: Strategic placement of CTAs throughout the site could guide users toward desired actions more effectively.
    3. Content Quality and Structure
    Content Depth

    • Article Length: Some articles are shorter than industry standards, which may affect their performance in search rankings.
    • Multimedia Use: Incorporating more images, videos, and infographics could enhance content engagement and shareability.
    Readability
    • Formatting: Use of bullet points, short paragraphs, and subheadings is limited, which can affect readability.
    • Font Choices: Font sizes and styles are consistent but could be improved for better readability, especially on mobile devices.
    4. Technical Aspects
    Page Speed

    • Load Times: Some pages have longer load times due to unoptimized images and scripts.
    • Caching: Implementing browser caching and content delivery networks (CDNs) could improve load speeds.
    Security
    • SSL Certificate: The site uses HTTPS, which is good for security and SEO.
    • Security Headers: Implementing additional security headers could further protect the site from potential threats.
    5. Monetization and Affiliate Marketing
    Ad Placement

    • Ad Frequency: Ads are present but not intrusive. However, strategic placement could increase revenue without compromising user experience.
    Affiliate Links
    • Disclosure: Ensure that all affiliate links are properly disclosed to maintain transparency and trust with users.
    • Tracking: Implementing link tracking can help analyze the performance of affiliate links and optimize strategies.

None of the things listed below have any real impact on traffic.
Yes, it’s better to do them all, but they won’t bring you traffic by themselves:
    • Meta descriptions
    • Heading structure
    • Alt text
    • Link structure
    • Menu structure
    • Calls-to-action (CTA)
    • Formatting
    • Font choices
Your content doesn’t have to be 100% original either. Sure, don’t copy-paste, but even with unique content, that alone won’t bring traffic. Traffic only comes if Google decides to give it to you. I run over 20 websites, some active and regularly updated, some I haven’t updated in 3 years — and I see exactly how Google behaves. Want traffic? Write more content. Then wait and hope.

For example, one of my websites had 1,000 posts and was getting 150 organic visits a day for over 5 years. Then, one day, Google took that traffic away. It dropped by over 50% in a single day. I rewrote over 200 posts and published 300 new ones — spending days polishing every piece, trying to make them helpful and interesting. No traffic. After a year, I gave up. And 7–8 months later, the traffic came back overnight. Every single post suddenly got organic traffic again.

And no, that wasn't the result of all my hard work. On the same day, a different site of mine (which I hadn’t updated at all) also got its traffic back. The same thing happens with most of my other sites. And when Google did take away my traffic, I saw my content being copy-pasted across other websites — no rewrites, no changes — and those posts ranked, not mine. Google even removed several of my sites from the index completely, even though they had over 100 keywords in Google’s top 50. Later, it reindexed them for no reason.

Here’s the only pattern I’ve noticed: post volume.
    If a site has 1,000 posts → ~150 organic visitors/day.
    If a site has 100 posts → ~15/day.

That ratio stays pretty consistent when Google decides to leave my site alone. I don’t waste time improving my sites when Google stops liking them. When traffic drops for 6–12 months, I just ignore it. I have more than 20 small sites, and when traffic disappears from one, it somehow increases on another.

Another example: In February this year, I published a post. Just 4–5 hours later, it got organic traffic — not from Google, but from DuckDuckGo, Bing, Yahoo, Ecosia.
In the first 48 hours, it got over 1,000 organic visits. I double-checked: Google Analytics, Wordfence Live Traffic, and Burst plugin — the traffic was real. AdSense income confirmed it, too. Now that post still brings in 20–60 visits daily, two months later.

One more example: In November 2024, I launched a new site. At first, posts were getting indexed. Then, two weeks later, the entire site disappeared from Google.
I tried everything. Nothing worked. Worse, Google started indexing old, broken URLs from that domain. Six months passed. Then, 10 days ago, the entire site got reindexed overnight.

Google is a monopoly. You’ll only get traffic if Google decides to give it to you, and only as much as it thinks you should get. You’ll never get more than that. Ever. Because they control everything.

I feel your pain! Yes, I suppose it is their algorithms that have all the power. The issue is that it is a changing unstable kind of science... what works one month will not work the next. I suppose this is to encourage an influx of Google Ads Accounts.

I appreciate your response and I picked some lessons from it.
I see following Google recommendations very important when it comes to SEO.
My earlier submission is all about On-Page search engine optimization which is the first and (may be) main factor you have control over in your effort to get organic traffic to your site.
I know Google Algorithm is never stable and it has been a very painful thorn in the flesh of website owners.
    Best of luck,
    Regards
