Hi, I have this Bidding Web Directory What do you think of it? Is the design good? Will it encourage people to buy a link? What suggestions do you have??? What is good, and what is bad about it?? I appreciate your thoughts !! Thanks in advance
Design is very good and can encourage people, but for bidding you know yourself, what encourages people the most. . Good luck.
Very, very nice design. Has a nice warm secure feel as you come to the site. However, what instantly struck me was ... where is the "sales pitch" Sales pitch = Why do I need a listing on this site, what are the benefits to me. What are the benefits to me to click the links and find out more about this site. Hope that makes my point clear.
you made your point clear, thank you !! Let me think of it.. I might add a cloud or something with the sales pitch !!?
nice layout ... but seem like less info ... if can , try to add more picture ... i think will be better !
A very good and clean layout making it easy on the eye and to use. Not that cluttered which is good. Although people may say you need more content, I would think the less content the better when it comes to selling links on a bidded directory. The reasons for this is because there are likely to be more clicks on the external links. Although saying this you do need a sales pitch as mentioned above.
Wonderful nice bid directory. i am sure you will get grand success from it. Already I buy a link for my urllinking bidding directory.
it looks good. I like the design. You should promote it heavily too... I like some of your mods too, perhaps add thumbnail view of each site too... Cheers, Nima
I am trying to work out what this is. What is a bidding web directory? You INSTRUCT me to add my link - then you ask me for a bid of a minimum of $1? Why? Why should I pay you $1 to list on this bidding web directory if I don't know what I will be getting for my $1. At the moment nothing. No PR = no backlink for me. Will I be on the front page? Here goes: REVENUE 101 - A lesson in getting revenue from a website. Clearly explain to your PROSPECTIVE clients what they will be getting for their money. It is hard enough to get people to pay for things that are really excellent products/services when they have a clear idea of what is on offer. Don't try to sell the sizzle - If you have a PR2 you have a PR2 - You won't be a PR4 in a month or so - you have no guarantee whatsoever. Building a church/site/bar and just expecting people to come in the door when the place is empty doesn't work. Especially when you try to tell them um, we will um, maybe have something in by the end of the week/month/year - That will be $1 please. If I am a client I want to know about YOU. Where is your About Me /Us page. If you are a ME put ME not "we are a blah blah company" - be honest - it works! If you don't have a product you more than likely have a service. If your service is getting them a backlink for their website - tell them what you are going to do to your product/website/directory to make it successful. "I have submitted this site to 100 link directories with PR2, 50 link directories with PR3, 20 PR4 and we have paid for links in directories with PR6 - see our list here <link to list of directories>". Why are you so cheap? You are not cheap you are competitive. Tell them what you are going to do - "We are going to systematically submit this site to every free link directory we can find - can you suggest some?" Why are your categories empty of sites? Tell them "This website was launched on 27 August 2007. I've spent 20 hours (be honest) submitting this site to directories and optimizing the backend code to make sure it is stable." Why did you set up this directory? Are you looking to sell it in the future? Are they interested in buying it when you are a PR4? PR5? Tell them and they will thank you for it. Keep an up to date list of all the backlinks to your site - make them available to your clients - let them see how HARD you have been working. You don't just set them up and they fill up on their own. Tell them where you will be running Ads for the site - more people coming into the site = more traffic = higher/quicker PR. Be honest. Don't pretend. Tell it like it is. You have really been working hard to... Myself and a group of like minded entrepreneurs have been... I really believe in this project/site and honestly believe that in xyz it will be... Be honest! If you do this I personally will buy links from you and I will sell your links to everyone I meet who needs them (everyone with a site). Here endeth the lesson. Oh, by the way - This isn't copied from one of those article sites - I just this minute wrote it. I write stuff like this on the fly (If I believe in it enough). Onward and upwards Steve Dorrington (AKA CarpetDog)
I like the colors and design. Though there is too much white space on the right. Overall looking good!
You have a really nice site , i like the theme but you lack subcategories , you only have few of them , so add more. Regards, Ace.
